A Scutum was a form of shield used by the Roman military of antiquity, primarily for defence against missile attacks (arrows, slings, etc).
Our topcoat protects your paintwork against missiles of.. water! This coating is so hydrophobic, droplets of water will effortlessly fly off the paintwork. This makes drying the paintwork easier, preventing water spots!
- Comes in a 50ml bottle
- Lasts approx 1 year from point of application, depending on weather and use conditions
- Vastly increases hydrophobicity, making drying effortless
- Protects the underlying coating from water spotting
- Easy and quick to apply, super slick!
This coating is strongly recommended though is not compulsory. Our 3 and 5 year coatings can be used without this coating.
This coating should be seen as an optional way of "honing" the existing coating, for more discerning customers or high end jobs.
